You've come to the right place!
Simply post the work you'd like looked over in this thread and I'd be ecstatic to take a look-see!

Asuka was sitting in a limousine, looking out the tinted windows. No, she was not sitting in the back, nor was she sitting beside the driver’s seat. No. In fact, Asuka was sitting in the driver’s seat. Now why is that? Asuka Miyamoto, at fourteen was one of the best bodyguards around. She looked like the average fourteen-year-old, only one that was wearing a black tailcoat with a matching black mini skirt that had a slit up one side. She had wide, milk chocolate-brown eyes, and shoulder-length, wavy black hair. Her gloved hands rested on the wheel, the one she was hired to protect was going to get into the limousine she was driving and it was her job to get him onto the highway as fast as possible without getting any speeding tickets. But that didn’t mean that she wasn’t going to break any speed limits though.
She glanced sideways when the back door opened and someone started to slip in, here she grabbed a pair of pink-tinted sunglasses and slipped them on (even though it was night time). When the door slammed and the gates opened in front of her, Asuka started driving. The limousine’s size was a slight irritant, it’s slow acceleration was another one too. But one annoyed her most was the guy talking to her. Yeah. Talking to your bodyguard, how stupid could you possibly get?
“Um…hi.”
Asuka sighed silently as she sped along the highway, lowering her sunglasses a little so that her eyes could be seen in the rear view mirror. She studied Allen Walker, the white-haired youth that her parents had referred to as “The Subject”. “Hi, Allen.” It was an unnecessary distraction, in fact, she was wrong to even encourage that distraction but she did so anyway. After all, she would be being a horrible bodyguard if the one she was protecting heavily disliked her.
“Nice to meet you..um…” It was clear that Allen wasn’t very used to communicating.
Asuka smirked, “So you don’t know my name.” Here, she made a turn, surprisingly smooth for one speeding along so fast. “Guess they didn’t tell you. Too bad I shouldn’t tell you.”
Allen stuttered a response, it was actually kind of cute, “Well, why aren’t you allowed to? After all, isn’t there this freedom of speech thing?” Even though the joke was fairly lame, Asuka actually found it funny, but she held back the laugh. She was pretty sure that there was a camera in the limousine, how horrible it would be if she got fired because she was supposedly “flirting” with Allen Walker. Wait a second, why was she talking to him in the first place? Oh well.
“Call me Kami.”
“Okay, Kami.”
Sure, it wasn’t much of a name, but it was good enough, at least it was something Allen could address her by. She spotted a speed camera up ahead and subsequently slowed down a notch, that is, until they passed it. What a fantastic bodyguard she was. At fourteen she had mastered a sniper rifle, was a third dan black belt in karate and could handle a large variety of knives and swords with ease. Now, she could already speed on highways in a limousine and not get fined. How proud her parents would be. But of course, Asuka reminded herself, being a bodyguard wasn’t necessarily about impressing your parents. Sometimes, it was a matter of life and death. Yeah, cliché much.
“Um…Kami, I want to ask a question.”
Asuka nodded once, “Fire away.”
“I think you’re my age, yet you’re my bodyguard.” Allen paused as he looked down, clearly somewhat uncomfortable, “So…why are you…you know, a bodyguard?”
She studied his facial expression, purely honest, and not hiding anything. Asuka shrugged, “Can’t tell you.”
Allen sighed heavily in the back seat, “I hear that from everyone you know.”
Asuka smiled, it was a somewhat sly and cunning smile too, “I know.” She artfully overtook another car as she spoke, it was hard to admit that she wasn’t good at this kind of thing. The part of her that wasn’t concentrating on the road in front of her was kind of pitying Allen. Loads of the rich kids usually had either really stupid parents, over protective ones and ones that got mad really easily. Thinking back to her meeting with Allen’s parents, they were all of that put together. Asuka snapped back to full concentration on driving when she saw the exit they were heading for, decreasing her speed slightly, she pulled into the darkened street, the blaring noise of traffic now behind a screen of sickly-looking trees. Here, she removed the tinted sunglasses and tossed them onto the passenger seat behind her. “Finally I can relax a bit.”
Allen leaned forward a bit, as he spoke, “What do you mean by relax?”
Asuka didn’t reply until she stopped in front of a large mansion. She opened the door and before Allen could get the door open – in fact, he was already reaching for the handle, she opened the door for him. Unfortunately for Allen though, he stumbled out due to the surprise of the door opening before him. The white-haired youth laughed nervously as he stood up straight. “Um, thanks, Kami.”
Asuka smiled at him as she closed the limousine door. “I thought you would forget.” She pocketed the keys after locking the car. It wasn’t like somebody was going to steal it if she stepped inside for a moment right? Anyway, Mr. and Mrs. Walker would probably prefer their son safe over a spotless limousine. If they didn’t, they were a pair of retarded parents. Asuka followed Allen up the front steps and opened the door for him, and looked around inside. It was dimly lit and another bodyguard, was standing on the top of the steps. As Allen entered the room the bodyguard was standing by, Asuka stopped, her hand resting on the door knob. Her brown eyes studied the guy standing there.
He had long, straight black hair tied up, his eyes were infinitely dark, but she found brown in there. His gaze burnt into her eye and as she turned away and opened the door, stepping into the room, she remembered who he was. Kanda Yu. One of my parents’ friends’ kids. She stopped a few metres away from Allen, listening to Allen’s mother fussing over the state of her son’s hair. As he was led away, Allen’s father spoke to her. “I have to say, you made good time.”
Asuka nodded, “Thank you, sir.” She bowed her head respectfully for a moment. She however, refused to bow. Her master was not Mr Walker, she was hired to protect Allen, and he was not Allen. Not her subject. His safety was not her priority and she had no reason to treat him as anything too special. He too, seemed to notice this.
He smiled, it wasn’t a very pleasant one, “It seems that your parents have taught you well. They were world class bodyguards after all.”
She nodded. It was common knowledge amongst the highest-classed nobles. Her family had been in the business for generations. None of those under their protections have ever come to any serious harm. Asuka was lost in thought for a moment until his voice interrupted her thoughts. “I wonder, how did you learn how to drive?”
Asuka shrugged as she turned to leave, “Obviously my parents taught me and then got me a fake drivers licence which I turned out not to need.” And with that, she opened the door, stepped out and made her way up a flight of stairs, heading for the roof. It was the first time she had ever been in the mansion, but she had done background research and memorised the blueprints. Wasn’t she a smart girl? She smirked as she climbed, completely oblivious to anyone who may have been watching her rapid ascent. -------------- Well there's one chapter ^_^ Do you know of D.Gray Man? That's the series XD And yes, if you need a link I shall provide ^^
