Mokona, or Soel, is a very optimistic soul. (Assuming that Mokona's a girl)She loves drinking sake and delicious foods and will often urge others to drink with her. Despite this joyful and energetic personality, Mokona also has a serious side. She can put deep thoughts into things and will come up with logical conclusions to problems.

Mokona heavily resembles a rabbit with large, long ears. Her left ear carries a red earing that boosts magical powers. She bears a heavy resemblance to a manju bun (a type of rice cake) and also has a large red gem on her forehead. She has a small tail and large feet (much like a rabbit). Usually, her eyes appear to be constantly squinted unless she detects a feather and her eyes are opened wide.

The two Mokona's were created by Yuko Ichihara and Clow Reed in preparation for the future events they would take part in. Until the four travellers (Sakura, Syaoran, Fai and Kurogane) arrived at Yuko's shop, the two Mokona's have been living together with Yuko in her shop.
