Princess Tomoyo was born and raised in Nihon Country. She was the country's miko from a very young age and met Kurogane soon after his (Kurogane's) mother's death. She stopped his rampage and calmed him down, telling him to allow his mother to "rest". She brought him to Shirosagi Castle where he then stays and grows up to become a ninja.
She sent Kurogane to Yuko Ichihara, the "space time witch", telling him that he did not understand the true meaning of strength. She puts a seal on him, which causes his power to be reduced every time he kills someone.
