THE Academy of the World has been around since anyone can remember. Some say it's been around since the universe was created.
AS for prestige, just look at all the prestigious and influential prior students. Politicians, diplomats, media stars and starlets, math-maticians, writers. The Academy of the World produces the best of the best in any field. Or just look at the outrageously expensive tuition the school charges. Better yet, look at the students (or the school staff's) ridiciously large bank accounts.
THE Academy of the World is so prestigious, in fact, that they can afford to pick and choose and select their student body. So, for as long as anyone can remember, the Academy has selected students as such: one student is accepted per world country. That's right. Out of millions of potential applicants, only one application per country is accepted. They don't even judge by school year. No, only one student per each world country is allowed to exist on the school campus at any given time. These students must have had some trait or special ability that made them stand out amongst all the other applicants. They must be Academy quality.
DURING the last century, it's seemed this process has even slipped over to the school staffing employments as no two members of the school's staff have the same country of origin. Coincidence or intentional? Who knows?
SURE there are some rules, but you'll learn the 3 most important rules in no time. 'Don't run in the halls, get along with everyone, and survival of the fittest.' Notice the contradiction between rules two and three? That's okay, because everything comes down to rule number three in the end. Especially with the habitual hazing that the upper classmen like to inflict on the poor unsuspecting freshmen. You see, the upper classmen quite like to take 'territories', meaning gaining slaves out of poor freshmen. And sophmores and juniors, those they've gotten used to it.
EVEN with that little quirk though, which the Academy is all too quick to cover up, nobody would want to miss the opportunity of a lifetime. After all, the place to be is at
